31 Weeks and 4D pics!

I am 31 weeks now. Just 9 more weeks give or take...I really hope I don't go over my due date! I am already ready for the baby to be here so it would be pure torture to go past the one day that I am looking forward to in October!! Baby weighs 3 1/2 pounds and is 18 inches long. We found out in the 4D ultrasound yesterday that baby Rowen is currently breech but he has time to turn. I wonder how babies know to get in head down position?! The book that I am reading talks about swelling in your legs and feet in the 31 week chapter. I don't know if I have had much swelling yet. If I am on my feet for a few hours( which is rare )without sitting down, I will notice that my legs get a little tight and kind of tired but I don't think that they have been swollen yet.

Brent and I have made a decision on a pediatrician. We are going to head to Old Harding Pediatrics. It is actually less than a mile from our place! We didn't know whether to give Green Hills Pediatrics a try or go to Old Harding. How did we make our minds up?? We went with Old Harding because that is actually where my doctor takes her kids! So we figured if she likes it there, we probably will too. My doctor, Dr. Kyzer, gave us the name of her kids pediatrician so we are going to call soon and see if we can meet with her.

Yesterday was the 4D ultrasound and I was so excited to get to see Rowen again! He was asleep the whole time we were there and he liked keeping his left hand up by his face which gave the tech a challenging time to capture some face pics! We DID get a dvd of the sessions which I thought was cool. Brent and I watched it again last night! haha. We also got pictures which I will show you:

He's cute :)  Look at those lips...big lips like Brent!

This was after a yawn...he kept his little tongue out for a minute

On a finishing note, mom and I hit up another consignment sale this morning at 8am. It was at Otter Creek C of C and it was a mad house! haha. There were so many people...people on top of people! We found some good stuff though. Mom was wanting to go specifically to find a stroller. There were about 10 strollers...ALL double strollers! There were tons of double strollers but no single strollers. We found more cute clothes though :)  Here are a few of the items...

Had to grab this onesie for Brent!

Happy Friday!!

-Loving-

Here is what I am loving today!

I'm Loving...
the owls that I made for Rowen's nursery! I have been looking around for "baby looking" owls for a couple weeks now and just hadn't found ones that I liked. At my shower this past Sunday I got to talking about owls and some of the girls had some great ideas of where I could look. Shannon suggested Paper Source in the Hill Center so my mom and I went over there Sunday after the shower and found some DIY owls that turned out really cute. The Paper Source store is so cute and has great things! So here are the owls that I made...

I went to Michael's & picked out some scrapbook paper for the background. Brown and green of course.

Brent and I put them over the changing table...aren't they so cute?! I think 5 might look better than 4 so I might make another. It looks a little unbalanced with just the 4.
Also, Angie mentioned a few websites that had owls so I checked them out and found something that I like...

Sleepy owls for over his crib!! I love them :) And in BOY colors of course!! haha.  I don't know I DO like these but I still like the idea of his name over his crib too. decisions...decisions!

I'm Loving...
the breeze today! It's not much cooler( still 95' outside )but with the lowered humidity and the breeze it's not too bad!

( view from our living room )
Even though you can't tell, there is a breeze running through the tree in this picture.

I definitely noticed the breeze b/c lately whenever I have stepped outside I immediately start sweating! No exaggeration! And today I was actually okay. Side story of "the pregnancy sweats"- I was at a lady's house yesterday (a lady that I got signed up for the magazine-yay!) and she was showing me all of her art work and all of a sudden I could feel sweat running down the back of my legs! YUCK! I had to keep discretely wiping it off b/c it just kept going! I bet her house was a comfortable temperature but I was dying! Soooo....I am very thankful for the breeze today and looking forward to the cooler weather.

I'm Loving...
Leo and Pheobe! They are just so cute and I love them :) and they love each other.

Leo
( he loves to lay on his pillow mound on the couch )

Pheobe
(she prefers to stretch out on the floor )

The 2 of them
( they definitely love sleeping! )

And I'm Loving...
that we get to see our little Rowen again tomorrow!! This time it will be a 4D ultrasound session. I don't know what to expect but I am so excited to see him! The lady who set the appointment said that since I will be at 31 weeks he should be nice and plump and fun to look at. I just can't wait :) Pics to come...

Baby Rowen's first shower!

Yesterday 3 of my wonderful friends gave me my first baby shower! It was a lot of fun and I am so thankful for the friends and family that came!! I loved that you all were there! A lot of pictures were taken so I will let those tell about the shower! There were some pictures that I took when I got home of some of the gifts so that's why I'm not in those pictures!

Me with the hostesses! Meredith, Shannon, and Kate

There was a whale/blue theme for the shower and I loved it!

Wishes for Rowen with little baby whales in the top corner

The food table. There were lots of yummy treats :)

Cake pops! They were delicious and were made by Kate.

Look what the hostesses made!! A onesie banner with Rowen's name on it.

Here is an up close look at one of the letters...so creative and pretty!

30 Weeks :)

Today is 30 weeks! Yay! Only 10 weeks( or less...hopefully not more! )left. I don'y know how my body is going to go for 10 more weeks! My stomach is getting pretty tight and I can't imagine it growing any more but I know it's going to grow a lot more these next 10 weeks.

 BabyFruit Ticker

Rowen is now the size of a squash...possibly a little pumpkin like the picture shows. He is about 3 pounds and 17 inches. I have noticed that I can feel hard knots when he moves around during the day. I'm guessing these hard knots could be his feet or hands...maybe it's his head! I don't know! I am definitely noticing severe discomfort in my pelvis and abdomen region. It's good to know that this is normal. My lower abs become really tight when I am working out on the treadmill. It's not comfortable but I know that I need to keep working out as long as I can!

Here are some upcoming things happening in "Easley baby world":
* We have selected 2 pediatric offices to check out.  Green Hills Pediatrics( this is where I went when I was young) and Old Harding Pediatrics. Old Harding is where my doctor's kids go! So I guess we will just need to decide on one and then choose a doctor!
* My 30 week appointment is on Monday...the routine things will be happening like checking my weight, blood pressure, and measuring my stomach.
* 4D ultrasound session on Thursday!!! I previously said that it was on Wednesday knowing it was on Thursday...Baby Brain??? I think so!
*We have chosen to knock out our prenatal classes in one weekend. So we are going to take the classes at the end of September. I would have liked to have taken them before that but our weekends are full until then!
* My first baby shower on Sunday :)

This past week was super hectic with work for both Brent and I. I am so glad that it's the weekend. I.Need.Sleep!! I don't sleep well during the week so when the weekend rolls around, I look forward to sleeping in on Saturday and taking a long nap on Sunday. Ahhh :)

30 Weeks - August 19, 2011

He's growing in there that's for sure.

It's Wednesday...time for Loves!

Here are a few things that I am LOVING today :) and if you want to read other people's loves then go to Jaime's blog... http://www.littledaisymay.blogspot.com/

I'm LOVING...
my new job! I have been with Who's Who for about a month now and LOVE IT!

I am the account manager for Who's Who Magazine. We feature local business owners and their business. I basically work from home so I am going to continue this job after Rowen comes! It's perfect. I have already met so many cool business owners and have gotten to learn about businesses that I have seen but didn't know much about. If you wanna check out the magazine go here:  http://www.whoswhomagazines.com
( and yes, I am still personal training...6 years now! )

I'm LOVING...
that a week from tomorrow Brent and I get to see baby Rowen in 4d!! I have actually thought that the 4D pictures are kind of creepy and just look like blobs BUT when I saw my cousin, Angie's latest 4D pictures, I knew that I wanted to have the 4D ultrasound done!! Her latest 4D pictures are just so cute. You can see so many of the baby's features! I am so excited that I can hardly stand it! Just a reminder of what baby looked like at week 20...

He will be 11 weeks older in the ultrasound next week. I bet he will look a lot bigger and he will have baby fat on him!

I'm LOVING...
monkey bread! haha. It had been forever since I had had it. I made it a few days ago and Brent and I have been munching on it but it's almost gone. It is so easy to make and is surely a great sweet treat. With the amount of sugar that covers the biscuits, you can definitely get a bit of a sugar rush!

pre-baked picture

just out of the oven

It's just biscuits, butter, cinnamon, and sugar! And then I chose to add chopped up pecans to the bottom of the pan which turns out to be the top of the bread. Yum!!

I'm Loving...
that my first baby shower is this Sunday!! I can't wait to get together with friends and family. 3 of my dear friends are throwing it for me and they are so sweet and thoughtful to do this!

These are the invitations!! So cute :)
