A little late...

This post is a little late but oh well! Last weekend was really nice. Brent had a 4 day weekend which made the weekend even better. Friday we woke up and had pancakes and just laid around for a bit. We played with Rowen while drinking big cups of coffee. It was super sunny and pretty roasty toasty the whole weekend. The heat did not keep us from going to the pool though! I got to go on Friday and Saturday and it felt so good!! I love getting sun on my skin. I went for an hour each day. I popped in my earbuds and sank deep into the chair...it was total relaxation. Brent went on Sunday but he said he could only stay out there for 30 minutes because it was too hot for him. 

Saturday night my mom came over and kept Rowen while Brent and I went to Cheesecake Factory. We got there at 7 and as we were parking I guessed that there would be an hour and a half wait. It's ALWAYS so so crowded. Brent said it was probably just an hour. He won...it was only 45 minutes. I was totally surprised. We wasted our time by heading over to the Container Store. I still had never been there yet. It's totally awesome. They were/are having a "travel" sale. There is some super cute red and white polka dot luggage on sale and I am debating going back and getting it. It's not really luggage I don't guess. They're canvas bags but one is huge like a suitcase and the other is medium sized. They were pretty inexpensive. Back to diner... We chose to eat outside. Whenever we go to a restaurant and there is outside seating, we always choose to sit outside. It had cooled down and felt great. Brent got the tacos and I ordered 2 things off of the small plates menu...a greek salad and hummus. 

Everything was so delicious. We didn't really have room for cheesecake but we got a piece anyways!! haha. We split the red velvet cheesecake.

After church and lunch on Sunday, Brent headed to the pool while Rowen was napping. I laid around and took it easy which I enjoyed very much :) Around 3:30 we headed out to Smyrna to hang out with the Easley bunch. They hadn't seen Rowen in a couple months and  were totally surprised to see how much he had grown! We had bbq for dinner and it was really yummy. Brent's grandparents brought it back from Memphis a few days before. Memphis bbq is always tasty! I just realized that I didn't take any pictures while we were there. I've gotta get some with them next time we get together that's for sure. 

Monday afternoon for Memorial Day we headed out to Lebanon. We celebrated all the May birthdays as well. Becky fixed delicious sides while the guys grilled some great tasting steak and chicken. Before dinner the kiddos played in the baby pools and the "big kids" played cornhole. Matt & Kelli and Josh & April brought their boards so a lot of games were going on at the same time. 

 Rowen loved when Becky would pour water in front of him. He kept trying to catch it!

The meal was delicious and to top it all off there was banana pudding, chocolate cake, and an ice cream cake for dessert. Whew, makes me full just thinking about it! This weekend has gotten off to a great start. Can't wait to spend time with my 2 men :) and also hang out with Kate at the pool tomorrow!! We have a lot to catch up on!
