This weekend was once again pretty relaxing. I love having Brent home on the weekends...I wish he could be home with us more! Campaigning is in full swing and has been for weeks now. I'm not going to share my feelings about all of that but I WILL be glad when it's all over!! Brent had a meeting bright and early Saturday morning at 8am. I felt so bad for him b/c all he wanted to do was sleep in! And he likes to go get Rowen out of bed when he wakes up since he doesn't get to do that during the week. I had gotten Rowen up, fed him, and put him down for his morning nap by the time Brent got back home. When he got home I was surprised with Dunkin Doughnuts iced coffee and blueberry doughnuts. Such a yummy treat! They have the best blueberry cake doughnuts ever!
These are really the only doughnuts that I like. I had them twice last week :0 well yesterday made 3 times! haha.
Saturday afternoon Brent and I were planning to head to Green Hills mall just b/c we hadn't been in a while and I had 2 free $10 cards to VS. But before we headed to the mall, we met my mom at Baptist Hospital b/c my cousin Becki had her sweet baby girl Friday night! Her labor story is a doozie. In a nutshell, she arrived Friday morning at 5am b/c her blood pressure was really high. She was dilating about one cm per hour( which is the norm )and I'm not sure of the exact time..maybe around 5 or 6pm she got stuck at 9cm and her contractions actually stopped! After getting her to push for 2 hours and no baby, they had to do a c-section to get baby Sophia out. What really matters though is that both Becki and baby Sophia are healthy! Even though Becki had been through a lot the night before, when we saw her on Saturday afternoon she looked great. I'm sure she wasn't feeling great though but she didn't let that show. Sophia is such a cutie and weighed an ounce more than Rowen did when he was born.

After meeting Sophia we headed over to my mom and dad's house and mom watched Rowen while Brent and I headed to the mall. We headed to Victoria Secret b/c like I said I had a few $10 off cards. I'm sure they hate when people do this( and I do it every time I get one of these in the mail! )but I try to find something that is around $10 so I can get it for a really cheap price! I headed straight to the body products b/c 1. I love them! and 2. They are all around $12-$15. I decided on this scrumptious smelling shimmering body oil. It smells very tropical...perfect for summer.
I ended up paying $2 for it! I have another free $10 card that they sent me for my birthday and I will probably go back and get the matching body spray. I am a huge sucker for VS body products. They all smell soooo good!
Rowen has been such a good boy in class the past 2 Sundays...we have been told. That makes my heart smile :) Class time is around his nap time so I gave the teacher a warning this morning about how he might get fussy towards the end but she said he did just fine. About 10 minutes into service mom took him out to the baby room and he passed out on the couch with her for the entire service. I'm glad he got his nap in! After service was over he just smiled and smiled at all the ladies that would come up and talk to him...such a little flirt. He was showing off his teeth too!
